When we read the New Testament, we gain many different insights about Jesus and His love and sacrifice for us, always wanting to bless, guide, and help us in our lives. We also learn how His followers, starting with His Apostles, live as He did to guide and instruct others in the way of the Christian life. Living life with God’s grace and favor is amazing; living without God’s direction is draining and exhausting. Paul describes how he put others first before his own rights, so that the work of the Gospel would not be rejected due to perceived self-centeredness.
