1 Corinthians 10 – Dangers & Warnings To Idolatry

Today’s teachings from the Apostle Paul regarding idolatry are eye-opening. Like Israel in the wilderness, Christians walk in a contemporary wilderness where we can easily be led astray and compromise our spiritual convictions. If we think we’re above stumbling, it’s just a matter of time before we will fail and stumble into sin or fall victim to temptation.

When we read scripture we are instructed and warned regarding the consequences of not staying close to The Lord. I’m sure we can all give examples of our idolatry even as Christians. May we heed the admonitions and exhortations of Paul, stay humble, and live in daily repentance to avoid being taken captive by the deceitfulness of sin.
