2 Corinthians 1:12-22 - Ministry Misunderstandings

Paul, as an Apostle, has the privilege to see many people’s lives changed by the Gospel of Jesus Christ. As he established many churches and leaders, he saw both Spirit-led communities and times when leaders and church families refused to deal with sin that, at times, arises in the church. The challenge in leadership is first to always be faithful to what God’s Word teaches and to bring correction in love, grace, and integrity. Not with condemnation but with love, grace, and truth. Some churches didn’t want to hear or deal with what he had to say or correct. We, as Christians, all need to walk in love, truth, humility, and repentance, not rebelling against the Lord or quenching the work of the Holy Spirit. At times, this creates misunderstanding.
