Jude 1:16-25 – Building up Yourselves and Others

There is no more detailed and extended description of false teachers and false Christians anywhere else in the Bible. As we now come to the end of the letter, Jude now describes the sins of the tongue of the false teachers. They are grumblers and complainers walking according to their lusts. They use impressive vocabulary and flatter people to win them. We can avoid this deception by building ourselves up and others in the faith, praying and looking for the Lord’s return. When we put our trust in the Lord and His word, He not only keeps us from falling but also from even stumbling into the deception and sin of the false teachers.
