The conflicts the Apostles encountered when presenting the Truth of The Gospel were from persecutors who hated Christ. Also from the false teachers who slandered their motives in preaching the Gospel. Ministry is truly an impossible calling apart from the Holy Spirit who alone can open the eyes of the blind to encounter Jesus Christ and be saved. Adversity is a given when we represent Christ! However, the blessings from God to those who are faithful in their ministry calling far outweigh the conflicts. There is nothing the world can offer that exceeds the joy of seeing lives transformed by preaching the message of the Gospel. It is Good News to all who hear and believe. Paul reviews the integrity of their motives in giving themselves for the sake of the Gospel.
