John identifies himself, not as an apostle or an elder, but as a companion in suffering and enduring tribulation, in both Kingdom living presently and in the Kingdom which is to come, and in our patience as we wait for the return of our Savior. John also receives a vision that describes Jesus Christ as High Priest, the all-wise Ancient of Days, and the righteous Judge. We all can have assurance that we have placed our faith in the true and living God, who is from everlasting to everlasting, and is coming back soon.
