The Generosity of God - 2 Corinthians 9
This morning we consider the goodness of God. regarding his provision for us on a daily basis. As we know the Lord’s prayer, he promises in that prayer as we ask Him to give us this day our daily bread. God truly is the source of all our daily provision that we receive providentially by His grace and also by the jobs that he gives us to work at throughout our lifetime. The apostle understood God’s generosity because he personally experienced it throughout his life and ministry. And he always wanted to encourage the churches to understand that giving is a grace that God bestows upon us to sow into his Kingdom and to bless others with his word and also the ability to help others who at times are in great need. He teaches us that to give is something personal that each of us purpose in our own hearts, not out of compulsion, but a willingness to share our resources with Him first and with others as well. As a church our experience over the many years of our existence is that were God guides He provides. We don’t take offerings in our church. We all give offerings to the church. We are grateful for the gifts that come in weekly and monthly to support the ministry of this local church, Calvary Chapel, Westmoreland. God bless you all!
