Titus 3:8-15 - Conclusion of Titus' Intro to Colossians

As we wrap up Paul’s letter to Titus, verses 8-15, we see Paul’s warning to avoid foolish disputes, genealogies, contentions, and strivings. The same warning was given to Timothy because a servant of the Lord must not quarrel. We too should avoid disputes and foolish debates as they lead to divisions and ungodliness in the Church body. As we move into Colossians Paul establishes Jesus Christ as supreme and preeminent. It’s very important that we acknowledge the deity of our Lord and Savior in a time when many deny that Jesus is God in the flesh.
